Yesterday, Mother's Day...yeah.  Not a thing was done for me by anyone.  I don't expect much, but a "Happy Mother's Day" would've been nice.  I would've been fine with that, because I do believe certain holidays like Mother's Day or Valentine's Day are days for card companies.  I believe you should be showing your love every day and doing "random acts of love" (as we call it) throughout the year.

I told the two who were still awake how I felt.  They apologized and said they thought they were abiding by my wishes.  I said they were, but a simple "Happy Mother's Day" would've been nice.  I found myself glomped by my 25 year old military son.  He almost knocked me over as he declared his love and hugged me.   My daughter told me she was glad I was her mom, and she loved me.  I felt better.  :)  Then I whacked them both with small couch pillows.  Yes, we're odd.

My youngest daughter informed me that when she was getting ready for work that morning. DH asked her what the kids had planned for me for Mother's Day.

I looked at her and said, "Huh?! You guys?  What about him?  He has the money."

She said, "That's what I was thinking."

Though two kids work, one just started her job and the other one isn't getting many hours right now, because he falls under child labor laws due to school and age.  They don't have the money to do or buy anything.   Plus, they were doing what they thought I wanted.  I think that says a lot right there.  :)
