Not good news on trading in the van.  One dealer will do $1000.  Another one will do $1200.    KBB says this van is worth $2500 on trade-in, however the dealers say these vans don't move well in this area.  They have to price them cheap in order to sell them.  Yeah, sorry - not buying it.

When I last listed the van, KBB said it was worth $4000.  I had it listed for $3800 and had two interested buyers.  I had to take it off sale, because two of our cars broke down.  We had to have the van.   I know there are people out there who will buy it.

I think I'm just going to list it for sale by owner.  The inspection is still good, and around here that is a huge thing on a car.   If necessary, I'm willing to drop the price to $3000 to recoup the cost of another car. That is the max budget I set for my daughter.  It is also the electrical money.  I need to get that money back if I end up paying cash for a car.

She and I are going to talk about the options after she gets home from work.  However, at this time I will not trade the van in for such a big financial loss.
