Where to Live

The kids and I were narrowing down choices of where to move, since we really do not like this state. Actually the state isn't so bad.  It's the cold weather we hate.

 The requirements were:

Decent gardening season
Preferably a temperate climate
Two "kids" work for franchise companies, so openings in that area that will enable them to transfer.
Decent cost of living
Availability of land to raise our own food (for food sensitivies)

We had narrowed it down to three states when I realized that I had forgotten one vital piece: we need to be near a military base to renew ID cards.

Then my eldest informed me that if we don't move lower than the middle of the USA, she will follow us with the grands and her husband.  He has agreed to try another state, but refuses to go below the MD/VA/TN line.

However, with the current housing market in our area combined with the economy going down the tubes, I don't think I am ever going to get out of this state.   Of course, God can do miracles. And, honestly, He's probably going to have to do one to get us out of here.
