I've decided to blow my house up.
Okay, not really, but I'd like to.
What I really decided is that, no matter what, I need to clean it, declutter it and get it ready for sale. No matter where I end up living, even if it is still in this state, I don't want to live in this house. It is just not conducive to the way we live. I can't garden, the house itself isn't big enough to have the whole family in one room for gatherings, we don't have enough bedrooms, not enough storage, etc. Not to mention the amount of work that is needed. Though, I wouldn't mind the work if I was staying in the house.
Today, my son pulled the ladder to the front of the house so I can redo the de-icing cable DH put up incorrectly. I will start that tomorrow. I cut half the lawn before I ran out of gas. I discovered DH never refilled the gas can. I had to stop, because I can't get gas until payday. We took an old yard swing to the street and put a "Free" sign on it. It's not in very good shape, but someone will take it and sell the metal. I repotted my strawberry plant that was getting choked by too small of a pot, and filled a large hole in the lawn with new dirt.
There are two projects I want/need done before winter: a new shed and a porch of some kind for the front door. Right now, the old shed is starting to collapse, and we can't use the front door. There are no stairs.
Today wasn't much, but it was a start. Even one thing done is something done.
